Fettucini Aglio e Olio
On today’s edition of “I have no food in the house but shopping is pointless because I’m leaving in a day,” we have something not Asian (gasp!) This was really simple, really good, and used only pantry staples.

Age Dashi Tofu
I always order this dish at sushi restaurants, so now that I have a Wok I decided to try it at home using the dashi stock left over from the udon soup I made.
What you’ll need:
1 package firm silken tofu
cornstarch
dashi soup base (see previous post for the recipe)
peanut oil for frying

Udon Soup
Udon Soup is one of my favorite things to order (besides sushi) at a Japanese restaurant, so when I saw some of the ingredients at Whole Foods I jumped on it and tried. The results were FANTASTIC, and it was really very simple to make. I had a bowl, then froze the rest of the broth in an ice cube tray for heat and eat use later.
